Secret Santa gave me BRS money!!! I was thinking about dosing...Andrew uses Red Sea energy A&B already. What do y'all think about Red Sea for dosing? Suggestions please.

I use the BRS 2 part. Calcium & Alkalinity Starter Package. Simple and easy. I like that it is based off of Randy’s formula which I am familiar with and can research here. Uses Calcium Chloride and Soda Ash which is pretty common.

Whatever you choose, I can help with math.

I tried putting red M&Ms in my tank like you suggested, but I just got a bloom of Cyanobacteria. ;Woot

I will try green next time. Maybe peanut.

Ok. After some reading...both of us will use this. I think I may go with Red Sea. I think Andrew will do better with something pre mixed. Plus, it's available off the shelf here in case of an accidental spill. He's 11. I'm a cluts.

I did not think of that, That totally makes sense. You do not want him mixing these chemicals for sure.

The Calcium Chloride gets very hot when you mix it,
