Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

I posted on that mentor post... yeah. I’m just gonna edit it and change my post on there. Too heated for my liking. Anyway, mike dawg. How come I’ve never met you. I’m almost everywhere on the site. Haha.

Hi [emoji4]

Somebody said cake?

Carrot cake, no apricots though. Nice cream cheese frosting.

I FORGOT ABOUT CARROT CAKE. Believe it or not 7/11 has great carrot cake.

Would have never guessed that. My wife surprised me on our wedding day and had our piece that we cut into carrot. A year later after being in the deep freeze it still tasted great. Costco has a really good carrot cake as well.

A year of deep freeze. Oh man. I haven’t been to Costco is over 5 years. Oof.

@Lowell Lemon I hope the move went well. I know this is bittersweet, but you must be very proud of him! I hope one day I can post Andrew doing something amazing like that.

Move went well. Heavy fog across much if the state Thursday night. Lots of 35mph travel in spots. Snow on Snoqualmie Pass Friday morning. Got to Seattle and moved him into his new digs. Visited Fred Hutch Cancer Center to get his ID badge and check in with the new company. Loaded up the truck for home Sunday and made the pass without a hitch only to encounter more snow across the middle and a east part of the state. 20 miles from got stopped by a three car pile up on Hwy 195 so we diverted though the farm country busting small snow drifts in my two wheel drive truck...a truly cringe worthy moment for my wife! Arrived home to more snowfall! Just heading down to the shop to cut parts for your sump now.

Rest. We can wait. I'm glad it was a safe trip. Please hug your wife for me.

@Musovski it's a wedding tradition. You eat (frozen) wedding cake on your first anniversary. Thawed of course.

we aren't going to do it.

I kinda want to but kinda think it's gross. LOL!

I want that much snow!
Glad you are ok.

Ours actually was pretty good, I have heard of some say it was terrible. I think ours may have been better as it was in a deep freeze and not a regular freezer. Not sure that mattered much be we still ate the huge piece we saved haha.

My first cave rescue training hosted a colony of bats. I was warned not to touch them. I don't find them scary at all.

Attending my first year at college I became a weekend spelunker in the caves around Chattanooga. Found bats in one cave and returned with a cloth bag and some gloves and let then go in my dorm room as a prank. So about 10:00pm I open the door and the bats hit the hallway looking for the open door at the end of one of the halls. One very sleepy dorm mate emerges from his room headed for the bathroom and as he walks down the hall one bat flies low across the floor and right between his legs. The ladies in the other dorm across campus would have been jealous of the high pitched scream he let out! I of course was rolling on the floor crying I was laughing so hard!

Bats are amazing creatures and I love to watch them fly and catch bugs!

I lived up north until I was 23.

I still miss the snow.

I am insane, I know.
My wife and I moved to Montgomery, AL for 6 months. We actually missed the seasons of the midwest and with other motivators moved back quickly. We had a 8 ft deep pool in Montgomery, and by middle of July you couldnt even get in it, it was so hot. More like a hot tub in that climate.
