I'm lucky, Riverbanks is only about 45 minutes away on the other side of Columbia. Its ranked 4th best zoo in the US by trip advisor.
We've been catching blue cats all winter long with bush hooks set up from the bank at work. I think we got a channel cat or two. Haven't heard of a flathead, but blues are the good ones anyway. Night shift gets slow, and bush hooks are easy to set and walk off and leave for a few hours.
Flat head, yellow cats they have a few names. Learned today that the lake we are going to had the world record come out of it, 117 pounds in 2004 I think it said. Biggest I've seen in person was 72, but I didn't catch it.
