Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

Someone told me that and I didn't really believe it. I should have looked it up sooner.

Turns out that's the truth.

Pretty cool.

What's the thought that man may have brought them over to the Caribbean as well?

[SashimiTurtle]

That sounds incredible!!! I want one!!

@sfin52 haha I hear ya. When all 3 are combined things get dicey, lol.

It went thru many evolutions, but everything stocked was fish from "the pond" as us kids called it, and the crawfish came from a washed out dirt road on the other side of the neighborhood...

It all started when we went on a vacation. Put one of those week long feeders in the tank. You know the ones, chalky tablets that are supposed to slowly dissolve and feed your fish over a week? Came back home to dead fish and a green stinking mess. My parents wouldnt take me to go buy new fish immediately so 12-13 year old impatient me just got fish from the pond that summer. Kept the tank like that for a few years until I finally took it down. When I left for a vacation or anything, I'd just go get a bunch of bugs from the pond and dump um all in the tank. The fish could eat them as they wanted, and I knew it wasn't going to crash my tank.

I had a baby warmouth at one point. He was super cool, aggressive tho. I could only keep him for a little while until he outgrew the tank. Mine was smaller than this...

Sirens were the coolest tho. The ones I caught were lesser sirens, max out at about 2' but mine never were any bigger than 12".

There are theories on that too, but I think the arguement is they were there before sea faring humans who had traveled to south east Asia... now I have to do more reading.

You do the reading. I'll drink rum and see if I can find the answer doing that.

the mayns were world travelers, Marco polo is now thought to have traveled to the west coast from china, the Polynesian also traveled great distances and the Egyptians also were great travelers. The ancient world was far more connected than people believe.

Sooo... guess who is spoiled and got an early birthday present... and guess who's wallet is a little lighter.

If you answered Turtle's girlfriend, and Turtle in that order you would be correct.

It should arrive Tuesday. It was priced very fairly, and the color is exceptional. I couldn't pass it up.

[sfin52]

What's its name?

[tdlawdo]

Beautiful!

[Katrina71]

Nice, I want to go to Hawaii one day... gotta get over the whole flying thing tho. Plus I don't think I'd get along with TSA all too well....

I hear Key West is nice, and I can drive there!

Flying...Dramamine and Vodka.

[Katrina71]

The Keys are beautiful. I am more of a private beach kinda girl. I want to enjoy early mornings and late evenings on the beach. I am not into crowds much.
