I must be too old to understand. :-)

Thats sad. Permanent solution to a temporary situation

My son is a resident and he had a 6 yo brought to the ER today that tried to hang himself in his closet!! Still in a coma. He has seen some bad stuff but that one shook him today. So i drove up here to Ohio to talk with him tonight. Glad I checked this thread some of these stories helped break the ice a little with him to talk about it!! Thanks reefing family!!!

Please hug him for me. It isn't easy. We both know there are a few we never forget, and maybe shouldn't.

I honestly can't "like" this situation so forgive me. I am sad that your son had to face this today.

My worst was a 16 year old pregnant suicide. So unnecessary.

Can't "like" this one either. Sad event for sure. My oldest son responded to a suicide and found one of his classmates from high school with a shot to the head. I honestly don't know how you all can "un-see" the carnage of depression played out right in front of you.

We never un-see it. We put it in a special place that allows us to move forward.

For the longest time and still wonder if I am going to walk into an apartment and fine a dead person. It sticks with you. You never unsee it. It becomes part of you. We just dont let it consume us.

In my incident we thought it was a homicide. Apartment was in shambles and the lady was **** from the waist down laying on he side facing the wall.

Back from my Honeymoon. Got 4 new fish. @Hemmdog is sending me birdsnest frags. I sent him a diffuser to test.

Let see...

@Katrina71 covered in whip cream
@12gallonsofhex trying to score some human growth hormone
@Musovski still young and confused
@crusso1993 made a crude joke at some point (as usual)
@tdlawdo has been coming along nicely with his waterbox and I am sure gained more muscles.

Did I miss anything?
LOL. Very true. but not confused how many of the aged peers are. They are a bit weird being confused that way.

One of the exact things I told him! Then we went to the gym and worked it out. Have had some of my best convos with him at the gym over the years. Nothing like slapping 300+ pounds on a bench press to get some frustration out and some soul searching in. I told him not to dwell but not to forget and use it to fuel his passion moving forward. He will be a better doc in the long run for it. If we don’t learn from it then we do ourselves, out present patient and our future patients a disservice.

Thank you all for the kind words!!

Welcome.
I also had an 8 gallon nano. I did a 1 gallon water change once a week. It was easy to do and kept the tank very healthy. I would stay away from the small protein skimmers, I’ve never had much luck with them. You should see if you can get a few sext shrimp. They are very small and look very cool.

How does a 6 year old even know that as an option? That's the saddest thing I think I have ever heard.

@crusso1993 has been MIA for days maybe a week now??

;Dead?
;Vomit?
;Blackeye?
;Mask?
;Spiderman?
;Clown?

Thanks for inquiring! I simply had some things going on that made it hard to get on here. Perhaps I'll get more elaborate about it in the future but not today.
I did read all the comments I missed and had so many different thoughts and songs in my head I cannot recall them all.
Happy to be back and happy everyone seems to be doing well!

Does this mean you almost missed us?
