Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

I was going to post a video of "Stairway to Heaven."

I have the same problem here. Mowed it 10 days ago. Our yard is mostly St Augustine grass, but I have some freaking Crabgrass that just goes nuts in only a few days.
What's grass. Ive have mostly clover. Honey bees love it.

I have centipede, bahia(highway grass, grows fast, drought resistant, I have SCDOT to thank for it taking over my yard), dandelion clover and various other weeds...

I've been saying I'm gonna do some weed and feed for 4 years to get the centipede to spread and choke out the bahia, because if kept watered and especially shaded it will choke out the thickest weeds. I like a thick cut, because centipede doesn't do well short like Bermuda. It's like St. Augustine. Thick shag carpet grass. If I would actually spend some time and get the centipede to choke everything out, my cutting would go down. It's a slow growing grass. Slower than St Augustine. I need to dethach and fertilize tho...

so how long for the leathers to heal. Katrina you said something about waiting a month before moving the leather.
just move it now. theyll adapt and heal at the same time. pretty hardy.

Wow powers out again. Hopefully it’s back before 17 hours like last time. If it’s still off in an hour I’ll go get gas for my shiny new generator...
Oh, man, not again. Nice work picking up the generator!

Just ordered two RP-M pumps for the back wall. Time to kick up the flow in this tank and see what LPS we have to move to the girlfriends Reefer. I have a feeling the frogspawns will have to go. I might replace them with some nice torches for movement on that corner.

Ok guys, I'm calling in the elites. Yea, that's y'all... I need test kits. I haven't tested like I should in a long time and now that my tank is a year old, I want to try more acros. Most of my kits are all old and expired or used up so, what do you use? Which one have you found easiest to perform and read consistent results with? It can be different brands for each test. I dont mind using different kits to get easy results.

Ca
Alk (really like my Hanna)
Mg
NO3
PO4
I use Salifert for all my tests bc i bought the package. I DON'T like the PO4. Its impossible to read.

We are ahead of you then. We actually bought a bag of weed & feed in the spring; however, it is still sitting by the back door. :-)

Idk whats going on with R2R. I saw a nice picture of your tank on this post, set my phone down, and when i came back it was gone.

I actually went back and updated the post with the original picture. I accidentally uploaded the cropped Instagram version with the sides cut off. You probably looked in between the update. It should be fixed now.

@12gallonsofhex

Consensus seems to be,
Hanna alk
Salifert Ca and MG
Red Sea NO3 and PO4 or
Hanna PO4(I have the Low Range, need the ULR)

I'll order up those. I did like the Red Sea Pro Alge kit with the NO3 and PO4, the Mg was really hard to read and Alk was impossible to get consistent color change.
