Finally done with doubling up the floor joists under the tank! Everything is level and looking good, just gotta put some wiring back and were back in business!

Oh it was anything BUT easy peasy lol let's just put it this way, for some reason not too long ago they made 2x10s with actual measurements of 1.5" x 9" and now adays they are 1.5" x 9.25" I can't even begin to describe what a MASSIVE pain in the you know what it was because of that 1/4" difference.

been there done that ... i feel your pain. i once ordered cedar fencing off the amish sawmill and realized they cut the actual number ... so a 2 x 4 is actually 2 x 4

I had a Victorian house. That's actually how I learned 2x4 and 12x12 are not the same now.

Yeah they cut the same way they did 100 years ago. The 9" threw me off as to my knowledge the standard switched to 9 1/4", I've seen true 2x4 and 2x10 in older cottages before but never 9".

Thanks, tank is nice and level now with a couple small shims to even it out. Still have to finish the laundry room (was part of the deal with having the fish room next to it ). But I'm one step closer now

Heather found this one as well. It came from a lfs. She saw it as they where unpacking a delivery. We told them we wanted it. We took it home with out a guarantee.

She is an expert at finding gorgeous fish.
