Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

Meet "Pinky." She is an albino bottlenose dolphin that lives in the waterways around where I live in SW Louisiana. News today said that she gave birth to a pink calf (baby dolphin).

A good reminder that tropical weather systems don’t have to make it to hurricane strength to cause a lot of damage. The picture below is in Beaumont, TX - only 65 miles from where I live. Tropical Storm Imelda has dumped 40+ inches of rain since yesterday there. That is a ridiculous amount of rain, except the same area had 60+ inches of rain from TS Harvey just a couple of years ago. Hate to see anyone have to deal with this and thankful that it didn’t come a little further east. You can’t get there from here right now, because water is over I-10 at the border. Unbelievable.

Really slow tonight, so I was doing my part to keep it going. :)
50% Water change today.
Started dosing Brightwell Microbacter 7 about three days ago.
Seem to have new tank uglies, oh well not gonna fret over it, will fix itself in time with normal WC, husbandry and maturity.
I had some aggression from the basslet towards the blenny for the first few days after adding the blenny but now they seem to be more than accepting of each other, no complaints there.
Monday my daughter named the blenny Cooper.
Cooper loves to eat GHA and film algae on the glass and rocks, to the point he won't even eat the Hikari algae wafers I got him. And before my WC there were a few dozen "kiss" marks on the glass from him cleanin it.
No worries there's plenty of GHA for him to mow down.
I use Tropic Marin Pro salt and have now started dosing my mixing Brute with BRS soda ash to raise the Alk.
The tank and Brute are both currently at 9.2 dKh
So my params are 450cal 9.2alk 1415mag

Stop lights in rivers now, jeez things are getting a little ridiculous.

And this my friends is why ordering things from the US sucks sometimes and why I hate UPS. $8.32 in fees at the border and UPS charges $38.22 JUST to collect that $8.32 and that doesn't include the $5.00 Fee if you pay at the door. So paying for the package at the door is $43.22 in collection fees and that's not including the shipping fee to ship it either.
