My dream tank is Sea world. All of it.

With that said I never thought I could have a sw tank let alone a reef. My reef and fowlr are my dream.

I would let the orcas and dolphins go and restock their tanks with a full on reef! just let the sun be my light, and the filtration is already in place...hellllllooo hundred thousand gallon reef tank!

I fed one as a kid in the Keys. She was so scarred. The first animal I ever became concerned about our environmental impact on.

Honestly anything more than the 93 would be overwhelming for me to manage.

That's how I feel about the 125 I have now, I can't imagine going any bigger

I didn’t get to feed any, but I saw some at Blue Springs in Florida. Sea cows > regular cows! they are heavily regulated from what I saw, Florida at least seems to realize the importance of coexistence when it comes to something like a manatee. But let agriculture runoff cause the worst case of toxic algae the world has ever seen? No big deal, nothing to see here move along...

True that! I daydream about having a huge reef tank, but then think about maintenance and infestations. I think 250 is the largest I would want to go. Maybe 120 range and a shallow growout tank would be the ultimate dream setup

Worried I may have Dino again in the frag tank. I got my new batch order of hanna regeants today which is nice.

What puzzles me is there is a lot of turf algae and cyano in there. Some of the cyano strands have big ole bubbles in them which is odd as well.

I’m wondering if this is Dino dooking it out with cyano and the turf algae.

When I started this hobby, I knew there would be a lot of ugly phases and expected it to happen to me. I never expected a cycle of Dino then cyano and Dino then cyano.

Getting a new tank even remotely stable is such a beating, I haven’t even had any GHA yet :/

My frag tank is about 4-5 months old, I wonder how much longer it will take until I find a nice rhythm for it.

It’s just bizarre because I have turf algae and cyano, how are those not capable of preventing the Dino?

There’s no winning it seems.

Are you cleaning the film algae off your glass in the frag tank?

I have long strings of hair algae with a bubble here and there, pretty sure it's not dinos.
I could be wrong but it's not snotty, slimy like dinos look.
Either way it'll be gone soon, dosed my first round of Fluconazole Saturday and First round of Vibrant today!!
Not looking for pristine aquarium but to get rid of the abundance of algae overgrowing the rockwork.
