Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

I wanna try one of the new BRS titanium heaters but just got that Eheim so that one will be next.

I might not get the BRS version but just go with the Inkbird version and the same heaters, I honestly haven't decided on a heater setup for my new tank yet

I can only wish. I know reality. Lol

Y’all are high maintenance

I don't and no one should, there are a zillion threads out there with Eheims failing in the on position and cooking tanks. It's such an issue that even BRS suggests tossing your heaters once every year or two and getting new ones. At a minimum you should have a temp controller but I prefer on not having to rely on a system to shut something off. Using two slightly undersized heaters solves the same problem and involves 0 controllers to do it. The odds are astronomical that two heaters would fail in the on position at the same time in the same tank. And even at that it still wouldn't have the same effect as one oversized heater. Just my opinion, I won't ever run a heater that's rated for more than my tank... :)

So...risky strategy it is!

When I got a heater, Eheim was considered the go-to choice. I know a ton of people use them and see them in tanks all the time. (even in really high end ones like Melevs Reef). Understandably, a percentage of those will fail...even NASA has dealt with some failures. Since they are/(were?) the popular choice, a small percentage would represent a lot of people and a corresponding amount of horror stories....

All that being said, my next purchase will be a temp controller! As you said, the odds of 2 simultaneous equipment failures are astronomical.

my daughter's clownfish coco died tonight, was swimming funny earlier she was giggling about it, I had been watching him, now gone. VERY weird! I think he stopped eating, no aggression from the others....

Long story short he ate fine until I got the new fish, then he stopped eating as much then it seems stopped all together and I stand there and feed them so I saw zero aggression between any of them.
They're all healthy and eating it seems, except for Coco.

@Why-Me could you order another one?
Absolutely.
I'm planning it already.
Told her few days ago no new fish around the holidays because of shipping issues etc.
So we'll see what happens, maybe she gets that microscopic blue hippo tang too?!

How much did they charge for Puff?
$124 + shipping

Anything funky going on with the other fish? Any spots?
