Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

Cool gift I’m getting: probably nothing. My wife says I just buy what I want, anyway haha. I’m most excited about the bearded dragon setup that my daughter has been saving up for, that she doesn’t know she’s getting for Christmas. She’s been helping me with my tank as a trial run for the responsibility of her own pet.

Tradition: Normally lots of Slovenian baking and Christmas Eve dinner with my parents. Because we are spending Christmas in St. Croix, we will be missing that. Our Christmas is actually going to be tomorrow, so... Happy Christmas Eve?

@Magellan I had gotten a super good deal. I referred a high end client to them, so I got a wholesale price.

speaking of costs. One of my returns just died. **** you reef gods, it’s Thursday so there’s no way the new one gets here until Monday.

Always makes sense to have a back up pump, wavemaker, heater, etc. but you know this already. Not necessarily high end stuff. Just something to get through an emergency. Still, I hope you can get one before Monday.

My tank has 2, so it’s not the absolute end of the world. There’s no single failure point, JBJ built this baby to last! But it is really old, the last time this happened it took 3-4 days because amazon didn’t have it available for 2 day shipping. I do have a backup heater, and a wavemaker that ended up in my freshwater to help with circulation. From experience, everything will be fine until the new one gets here, it’s just really annoying.
