Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

My favorite betta was mustard yellow/green. I called him urban decay. He was social too. He had a heart attack one day right in front of me. I had no idea that happened in fish.

Let me see if I have a pic of my old blue mustard... he was a pretty fish before he went counter surfing... jumped a 1/8" gap in the glass top.

Here we go

I have 4 clowns all came from sustainable aquatics, quarantined ready for a plop n drop
ditto on Dory from Pacific Island Aquatics
They do a great job and I would trust them.

@CasaReefer, your boy looks like a dragon scaled and in the first pic it seems he has another growth on his side. It’s very common in these fish because the cells that cause the iridescence mutates and keeps mutating. These cells basically pile on top of each other causing the growths. It’s pretty harmless unless it’s on parts of the fish with vital organs, such as the head/ face or the belly area. They are also prone to the iridescence growing over their eyes causing blindness. I stopped breeding the dragons because I couldn’t morally produce fish with possible future issues. Here’s a shoddy shot of one of my fellas from 2009? He was a good looking fish but his iridescence kept thickening up.

This is my first one... Just had to get him out of his Petco Cup... I freakin Love these fish... I would have like one of every color if I could house them all... I did some reading and it seems they are prone to problems..

The plakat are the most hardy aside from wild caught... lest amount of breeding innthe special fins. I think the longer the fins, the less hardy. I wish I could get the red face to show up better on camera on my fancy copper HMPK... he really has colored up a lot.

My duck weed is finally starting to grow. I had a lot of die off when I first got it. Its wild duck weed I got from a spillway at the plant. I'm gonna make a few floating acrylic rings to keep a few open spots for feeding and access to air.

What's that little light you have running there?

Here’s a good read for anyone who’s bored and like genetics lol. I’ve thought of procuring a pretty little steel girl for my guy but I had sold off all my containers and heat tape.

I'd love to have a black one
