Any idea what has caused the bloom?

Most likely the fact that I’ve been using tap water for about a year now. Used distilled in my last water change, and I’ve already seen improvement. My only cleaner is an urchin on top of that. I know it’s off topic, but this urchin has recently had drooping spines and I noticed a few on the sand. Any suggestion?

Anybody have a cool pleco? We got a normal leopard one back when we set the tank up, Rachel thought the albino bristlenose was the ugliest fish she had ever seen
