Does one have to have once been not broke to be currently broke?

day 2 or exactly 24hrs since tank blackout yesterday.
When I pulled the towels off to feed last night that stringy bubble crap was almost nowhere to be seen, I'm thinking this is working already.
Another 24-36hrs and I'll pull off the towels, turn on the light the next day at low setting and slowly ramp back up over a week or so.
Going to do a large 50% WC as well after the blackout.

Only the broke part. I just looked at my credit card bill. Truthfully, I had planned for it, so it's not that shocking... yet. That'll come this Saturday with Cherry Corals, Polyp Palooza. It could be real dangerous for me.;Hilarious

It looks like it safe. I think I have the diatoms. And i'm pretty happy about it. I'm being told that could lead to green algae and then possibly coraline algae. Yay!

My assistant is in Italy for Christmas and New Years so I have thousands of dollars of work without any help....bummer week for me. Still have some shopping to do as well...Baugh Humbug.

That's a very tall aquarium.

I wanted something different and right now I live in an apartment so the choice is space related. I'll soon be reading on the influence of depth on several spacies and try to make an approach onto keeping some that might be depth sensitive.
If anyone has any suggestion i'm all ears

Still hasn't posted in the gift thread yet.
I'm thinking next year I'm just gonna pick a random reefer THAT I FEEL is worth the extra $$ and send them a gift on my own.
To be honest I don't care if someone sends me fish sticks; I did this to see recipients post their goods they've been gifted and I'm starting to feel like it wasn't good enough or the recipient was too busy for the SS exchange making it pointless, to me at least.

I'm not upset with the person, would have liked to see a post or thx or some sort of acknowledgment that it was received and some porch pirate didn't run off with it and said person is still awaiting the package.
That's why I said maybe just too busy for the SS this year.
Life happens I'm in no way shape or form mad or upset at the person.
I had different expectations, my own problem.
Next year I'll pick one of y'all or maybe we can elfster katrinarino ss?

That’s total crap. @living_tribunal sent me some coral food, i was so excited to see what it was and the very first thing I did was take a picture and post to the SS thread. Really made my day! Can’t imagine reacting any different, and it’s not like it took a long time to take a picture...
