Should I freak out about little tan/brown flatworms? They dont seem to be doing any harm but I see people talking about throwing away frags because they had flatworms.

The Prime rib roast is doing a mini dry age in the fridge out in the garage. 13.27 lbs. of roast. I cut 3 lbs. off and froze it to be used at later date for philly cheesesteaks--I'll slice it up thin with the meat slicer. Can't believe the price Costco has for these roasts. It would have been a $450 rib roast at Pat LaFrieda's or the like.

Ahhh, cant wait for Christmas prime rib dinner!

Most reefers hate to see aefw acro eating flat worms but I believe not all flat worms are acro eating so getting an ID may be beneficial for future reference.

I hope they are not aefw. I have one acropora digi. I think I might try flatworm exit. It may be time to set up a temporary tank and start over with new rock and substrate and clean my reef out. Now I have aptasia, vermatid snails, and flatworms. I thought I was dipping everything so well.

They pose a real threat.
Even if they are not the acro eating specific ones they will establish a large population and thats when trouble starts. They are ugly to see around, they release strong toxic chemicals when they die and they can keep your corals from photosynthesis.
I havent had good result with salifert worm exit and I have numerous cases around me where it was the same.
Sadly the best pest control would be to have a predator that eats them.

I dose a small amount of phyto feast every day. I wonder how much of an effect that’s having on my nutrient levels...and now that the bottle is older, I’m seeing more algae now than I have in a while. I’ll get a fresh bottle, if my algae goes away I’ll know. Great article!!

What are those

Rainbow bottom anemones. Local LFS has 3. I already have one, back side of the rock work with my prettiest rock flowers, but I can see it if I look at the right angle lol.
I am debating on buying all 3. That way I can say I have more than 1 of all types of available anemones lol.
