It looks like part of it is opening up. I’ll see if it continues during the day. It’ll be a little easier to ID then I’d hope. You see a slight bit of green at one of the bottom polyps.

I was gonna say it looks a bit like a pipe organ coral but then it went for a walk. And that stem thing. I vote alien

They move sand, lots of sand. Especially around their burrow. Shift in sand and current, could have moved that way...

The alien coral couldn’t have moved due to sand. They would have had to pick it up and move it. See my lovely well drawn diagram

Your diagram is excellent!!! ;Smuggrin Out of interest how much are watchman gobies where you are? I want one one day but goby & shrimp pairs are a few hundred $ in Aus
