Good morning everybody! Hey I got some cool rock from KP Aquatics. It's cut to have a flat side. It's dry rock. Can you image how frustrated my goby will be when he can't dig under that?
He is going to be mad.... LOL

It’s nice to stretch out after being shrimpnapped it seems. I wanna glue it down but don’t wanna make it mad. And I have to get some glue.

If that is GSP, once it gets happy and starts to grow, it will cover that rock, adjacent rocks, corals, equipment and anything else in its path. Not so easy to remove from rocks. I generally glue that stuff on my back glass or on a remote rock that is easily removed to be trimmed. I do like it though and have always had it in my tanks. You just need to plan ahead on how to keep it in check.

I believe it’s a pipe organ. It’s hard to show but the tendrils are frilly.

Does anyone else wait to buy corals until they find a shape they like?!
I have been after a nice piece of setosa for a while, the lfs only gets UK tank raised frags, customer tanks.
As soon as I saw this I knew it was coming home with me, maybe a 2 x 2 inch piece, it ate into my store credit a bit! ;)

Am I the only one who thinks she does not need a protein skimmer. Wit that amount of water? She will have macro algae some small fish and some critters. She should be fine with just water changes and feeding once daily. She can also fill the tank with good salinity water and draw a line on the glass where the waterline is. And refill with fresh water if some is evaporated. Put a glass lid on top. Or maybe the tank already has a lid and evaporation will be minimal

She agrees, @Katrina71 isn't a big fan of skimmers! Even on the much larger tank she keeps now :)
