My scape. Rocks hanging everywhere

For me my scape changes every other month that’s the bummer in setting up a new tank every time you think you’ve got it something happens or you just don’t feel it! Looks like I’m going back to the drawing board! Worst best thread ever created.

I do appreciate the clean, few islands look, think that looks great in a magazine or to promote a Red Sea tank. However in person I like a very busy scape, caves and arches all over, something that keeps the eyes very occupied. That’s the look I went for, busy yet open and planned out.

Cycling my new tank right now...how timely

My new office tank. Just an arch. Going to remove that one rock on bottom that was just to seed tank or maybe ill leave it

What, nothing floating? What the heck? Just kidding. I like the seed rock there. Gives it a nice balance IMHO.

There is a lady over on nano reef who had a multi level seahorse tank with rocks sectioning off the sand bed to where it has multiple levels. Seems way more common in freshwater setups. Anyone doing something similar love this looks and trying to get more inspiration

Don’t worry already plan on moving few rocks from my DT i have lying around lol. I might just leave the seed rock. It will get covered with some scolies and acantho anyway. Lol

It’s a little hard to make out what this will look like in the glass box; it’s a 120 w/ very slim overflow box (Eschopps). I want to raise the large right pillar/bommie up 2-3 inches but other than that I like all the open space. The middle arch runs from front to back to help show the 24” depth (front to back) dimension of the tank. The right side and back of tank are painted black since tank is in the corner of room. Any suggestions, comments or concerns? Please post. Thanks everybody for sharing as well.

Beautifully done. I’d agree with raising the largest right pillar up by a few more inches!! The scape follows right to left and the arch is great. Also look at moving the left such that 2/3rd of the tank is dominated by the big pillar and arch. While the 1/3rd is the left pillar.

That looks nice bud. I do the same thing and color in where I want corals lol.
Hey share another pic of the Tonga rock closer up with out the colorful corals. Where's your cement, how did you put that together?

The two goals are one in the same.

I've done quite a few elaborate scapes in the past. Going more basic with my new one, simple. Corals will complete the aquascape in time.
