New to reef2reef, I just bought a G5 XR15 pro and am trying to set it up. The mobius app is unable to get pass firmware is up to date screen. It states "please wait while we check the firmware is up to date. The light in question is listed but will not work, it try's but then fails and there is a retry button that you can press to try again but the same thing happens. The 3 lights on the XR15 are amber. Does anyone know what is going on or how to fix this issue? Thanks

This may help also, they have good customer service also.

Thank you for contacting EcoTech Marine, and I'm sorry to hear about you are still having some issues! To troubleshoot, start by power cycling all Mobius-controlled devices and quit the Mobius app. Wait 30 seconds and power on all devices then, re-open the Mobius app. All devices should be back online at this time.

Should you continue to have an issue after re-opening Mobius, please follow the device-specific steps below.

iOS Devices:

  • Open the "Settings" app then select "Privacy"
  • Enable "Location Services" (should be set to "On")
  • Now select the "Bluetooth" option
  • Ensure "Mobius" is switched "On"

Android Devices:
  • Open the "Settings" app
  • Select Connection
  • Enable Location Settings and verify Mobius is "Enabled"
  • Select Apps
  • Select display system apps (swiping left/right may be needed or try selecting the menu button)
  • Select Bluetooth from the list then Storage
  • Select Clear Cache
  • Once the Cache has been cleared successfully, restart your device to complete the reset
  • Power cycle all myAI controlled devices
  • Open the Mobius app once your device has been restarted

In the unlikely event, your Radion is still disconnected, it will require a button reset. To do so, follow the steps below.

1. Press and hold the center button until the unit flashes red white and blue
2. Press and hold all 3 buttons until the buttons flash red and purple
3. Press and hold the outer 2 buttons until the Radion resets

Thanks again,

Do you have any other Ecotech products and are they already assigned to Mobius?

I have 10 items attached to Mobius. The 10th was done today. It was a Radion XR15 G5 Blue.

I just recently set up a new tank and installed three XR 15 pros. They are attached to a surge protection power strip. This evening the power went out for about one hour. My essential equipment remained running on a back up UPS. However, only two of the three lights Are responding. I have tried to do a factory reset with no luck. I have changed the power supplies to rule out a bad power supply and that was not the issue. When trying a factory reset pushing the middle button and holding it does absolutely nothing. any other tips before I end up in never never land of tech-support?
