Good Afternoon Everyone!!

Brand new reefer here. I am so new I don't even pick up my tank until this Saturday lol..

I am from Michigan so if anyone reefers from Michigan feel like helping a newbie out from time to time hit me up I have alll sorts of questions.

I am currently about to pick up a 75 gallon. Comes with everything I need. However current owner uses canister filters. I will be using those for a little while. Until I build my sump and switch it over. Also need to buy a coral light. Was thinking the Current USA Loop. Anyone used it before? I am a bit on a budget. after buying the tank and all lol.

Welcome to R2R, i wouldn't worry about a light just yet, I would cycle the tank with no light, do some reseach think about what corals you want to keep and then buy one light vs buying one now, and then one 3 months from now because you cant keep the stuff you really want to keep with the current light.

Welcome to the lagoon!

Welcome to R2R and thanks for singing up and welcome to the hobby. Is the system you are buying up and running at the moment and if so, what type of inhabitants are you also adopting?

everyone seems to be dumping t5 fixtures so you can get a good fixture for an amazing price that will allow you to keep pretty much anything you want. If i were new to this hobby, thats the route id take. This hobby has a way of making you want to upgrade inside of a year after a new build once you get your feet wet. so go easy now and save for the upgrade 11 months from now.

Yes it is up and running. We are going to transfer it to my house this saturday. So of course I will be taking his water to get it running. Currently the tank has 50lbs of live rock in it. Also has a couple clown fish and some cleaning crew (Snails not sure what kind). also live sand and coral mixture. So I was thinking of picking up a light first to get some coral going while i work on my sump.
