Today I ordered a jbj30 Nano tank.. waiting for a different stand should be to me in 5 days. Ready to work this... Should I start with live rock or dry rock.. To start my reef I'm going to mix my own saltwater should I add a chemical reef builder or let it build algae on its own. Plan on posting photos as I go.

Welcome to reef2reef!!!

Welcome, my advice is take it slow cause going fast will give you more headaches. In this hobby you rush and it could bite you in the a** slow and steady will pay off the most.

Thanks for the encouraging words. ... also Dallas. Planning on it being slow so I can learn old school ... not just dumping chems.

So today I picked up my jbj30 tank and Marineland stand. So spent the evening cleaning up parts of the tank and the ........ OMG. The tank is to small for the stand it almost fell on the floor as I was placing it on stand... My LFS is now closed have to wait 12 hours... More planning time..I'm going to have to get Jbj45 which is what I wanted first.

Welcome! I'm new too - acquired my tank in May from a friend. I have found this site to be very helpful - AMAZING how many questions come up! Good luck!
