Brand New XF330 Gyre not working

so I just had a new Gyre show up today with the new ivc6 controller...plug it in and nothing, the pump will not turn on. I have a Red Sea 250 with 1/2 thickness, I thought at first my tank was too thick but the XF330 is rated for 1/2.

Am I doing something wrong? The pump is plugged into the A side as I only have one.

yes, I ran through the steps without using the app...just setting it through the controller and nothing

Same issue with another brand. They had me take it all the way down to the motor and then run it in some water and see if it worked.
It did, reassembled and it has been flawless for the past 6 months
Most likely some bushings that were a little snug

I took both propellers off and checked bushings, everything seemed fine...the controller won't even show the wifi indicator so wondering if I have a dud
