Brand spanky new.

This thread is for a 40 gallon breeder and the hobbyist says that he had 2 AI Primes on his tank, which is three feet long, and he thought it needed another one for enough spread. Your 75 gallon tank is 4’ long. I’m not saying they won’t work but they may not provide the lighting you will eventually need. If so you could sell them and upgrade later, but it is something you should consider. Again, this will all be dependent on what your goal for the tank is.

Thank you for looking out for me. I’m still looking. The HD if I seen right gives a PAR of 100 at 21” deep if I read all that right. Did not see the width/spread it covers though.

I have to look them up but I am flat broke today. Picked up test kits, filters for the 400’s, hangon sump, and 50lbs of dry rock today.

Going to start a new thread here soon to show the “”Call me Ed” build. ;):p:p:p

I will likely grab some corrals before I get any fish.

I would advise against this. Without fish there is no nutrients in the tank. Most corals need nutrients. A pair of simply clowns or damsels will take care of it for you for cheap and easy to care for fish friends

Good luck and welcome to R2R

Thank you. I’ll adjust a little bit then. Two black and white ones.

What kind of time frame on adding corrals after the fish?

What kind of time frame on adding corrals after the fish?

The thing to remember is there is lots of ways to skin the cat in this hobby

Time frame depends on size and many other things
What I wouldn’t really do is add a bunch of coral to a zero phosphate tank

A pair of clowns will help get you there
Phosphates greater then .05 and less then .2

Thing to remember is with higher phosphates you are more susceptible to algae but coral like it better

It’s a delicate balance

BRS did a video about it
Track it done in YouTube and good luck!
