what kind of fiberglass did you use, chopped SMC or woven? also, what thermoset matrix is that? guessing epoxy with some additives.

woven and fiberglass resin w/ hardener I plan on getting the whole thing gel coated when Im done.

gel coating will be pretty vital. hygrothermal effects are pretty nasty in fiber reinforced composites. make sure the seams are flawless (guessing you used plain weave: 0/90 orientation), that will be where moisture effects are most easily introduced - the ends of the fibers themselves.

I bought 2 400watt halide lights for the system when it gets done. I am a poor boy with big dreams this could take longer that expected. I did get a price on my glass and it wasnt as bad as I had thought. So hope to show more progress soon.

it has been a month now have you made any progress?

no I hate looking at the future makings of a nice tank and not being able to work on it. I found a better job though with much better pay. So progress will be made soon.
