Brass fitting - how long before brass start to leak?

Hi guys, i made a diy chaeto reactor, did not know about brass & saltwater, now i know and i am worried. I have already ordered some plastic fitting but the brass fitting have turned for about 3 days.

The tanks is a 10g aio cycled and i am going to add first inhabitant tomorrow (clean up crew, 5 snails and 1 amboniensis), in 3 days brass can already leak copper in tank? i can't not put them in since they arrive via post and i know no one with a reef tank that can host them until i'm sure is all good.

U guys think it will be okay?

Don't know how long it will take the brass to leach copper into the tank, but I would take the reactor offline until the plastic fittings come in.

did that as soon i've realised the mistake. made some temporary 3d printed fittings, hope they don't leak until the others arrive

I know this is an older thread, but redid some plumbing and realized this morning that the brass valve on the overflow siphon isn’t a good idea with crustaceans ‍

it’s only been in there 24 hours now but I won’t be able to replace it till tomorrow afternoon, how did your cleanup crew turn out?

Nothing had any problem, for those short time frame I think there isn't really any problem
