Hi,

I am fallowing this site for a while and decided to be more active. I would like to present my reef tank, which is nearly 1 years old.

Dimensions: 130X60X50H main tank, 90x50x45 sump with two parts.

PS: Ati 250 IS

Water return pump: Jebao DCT 4000

Lighting: 300W DIY led (formed with 3W cree leds) and 54x2 giesemann fluorescent for the main tank, Sunsun led for sump

Wave: 2 Jebao RW8, 3 Jebao RW 4 in the main tank. 2 internal filter at the sump for wave and some madia if I want to use.

Cooler: Resun CL650

Additives:

Bubble magus Dosing pump

C-Balance: adding 43 ml of both bottles in 24 hours, adding 20 ml Reeflowers KH blend in 24 hours
Fritz CA and MG powder as needed infrequently.
Fritz 450 Monster bacteria at every water change
%20 Water change in every two weeks
Grotech M (aminoasit) 3-4 ml weekly
Reeflowers potassium if needed
Salt Tropic Marin Pro Reef
Brightwell activated carbon that changed once a month
Rowaphos one week in every month
Salifert tests used once a week
PH and Redox probes measuring continuesly

As an addition I have refigium ful of Callophyllis laciniata and Grape Caulerpa Racemosa. Refigium lightens for 15 hours, in the opposite timing with the main tank.

Corals: Some zoa, elegans coral, tridacna, mushrooms, starpolip, leather, xenia and lots of SPS

Very nice system.

Wow, that is a beautiful tank...congratulations. Love the aquascape.

Wow, that is just beautiful :) thank you for sharing it with us.

I have just took the video and pictures. All taken by phone, I hope you like it. :)

I need some ideas... I have two problems currently. First one is; hairy dark green algee on the rocks. (Corals are ok and I have two tuxedo urchin, which are like vacuum cleaners. :) They are eating everything on the rock)

They started when summer came and the weather is about 34 C.Degree here in istanbul. They came with the city water probably. I checked my RODI and TDS was 6 so I changed the filter media. I made a high amount of WC and added Fritz monster 460 bacteria, decreased lighting time.

Then I tested Nitrat: 2-5 changing, Phosphate:0, Silicate:0 with Salifert tests. But to be sure I have renewed my activated carbon and added Rowaphos.

I am feeding my fish two times a day but never leave fish food at sand. My leds are good (using for 9 months), using giesemann florecents for 4 months. I also dont use any extra carbon source like vodka.

So the last think is, C-Balance. It is a solution that keeps CA, MG, KH stabil and also has a lot of kinds of trace elements. Probably! I am using too much trace elements to keep other elements balanced. I need some different ideas and solutions :)

Second one is aptasia. I always had them but there were only 3 little ones. With the summer, they became like 30. I cant take the rocks out because they are covered with corals. Should I prefer peppermint shrimp, chelmon fish, filefish or a medicine?

Thank you for your help :)

Peppermint shrimp cured my aptasia in less than a week. 2 in my 72 bf and was gone in a few days.

Goodmorning from Istanbul :) I have read that raising Magnesium levels to 1800ppm, solves hairy algee problem immediately. (I will protect my LPS) I will try but I am not sure what will happen to SPS. Does anyone have an experience?
