basically, how do you do it? I have a piece that was in my tank, and I acquired some smaller pieces which I liked better to build my scape with. So now I have this giant base rock which weighs a good 20lbs. I would like to bust this up. I have problems with my hands so thought I would ask here what the easiest and best way to break this chunk into smaller pieces that I may can encorporate into my scape.

If I am not looking for precision, I just hit the rock with a hammer; which works fairly well for marco rock. Some of the more dense rocks, or if you are looking for accuracy require a chisel (I use a 2") and hammer... I do this on the concrete floor in my basement with a flexible plastic cutting board under the rock (helps with the wet mess and crumbs).

Sounds good! I just thought of throwing it in the road :p your way sounds better.

I was tempted to suggest throwing it against a cinder-block or something similar, given you mentioned you have an issue with your hands. Throwing it onto a flat surface might cause it to just crumble, or explode (which would just give you rubble in the end).
