Breakout box problems

I'm trying to setup the breakout box with a float switch and only way I can get it to change status with the apex is reversing the switch. I bought this switch:


There is also a major delay when switching from open>closed or closed>open.

Should I get another switch? Is it the breakout box?

Seems pretty straightforward but I guess I could be doing something wrong

Any advice?

If you are looking at Fusion, there will be a major delay. Because it does not update that frequently.

Actually use it to program something, and it’ll react within seconds. Try it with a simple light, or listen for the click of the outlet

Use the ip address of apex (old School) while setting up float switches ,its instant unlike fusion and you can tell if there open or closed just like @TheHarold

Thanks! Was up too late messing with it. Got it figured out now with the old dashboard.

Just go to network setting in fusion look for ip address and type it in should come up with it
