Here me out. If they eat pests like aiptasia could you get a female and male and treat them like bergia nudibranchs? Has anyone ever bred them?

I think there has been one place that has successfully bred CBBs, getting a female and male however is near to impossible unless they come in as a pair

They have bred them, but not in a home tank.

Little thread i read.can sex them but getting them to pair was very low %

In a large public type setting. Copperbands are egg scatters (I think) and like tangs, won't spawn unless the tank is large enough

How did they?
I don’t quite know how they did it, I’ve not looked into it as much as I should have but I think they were the only fish in the tank and it was probably a rather large tank. I may be wrong but I’d guess it was a very large tank (This was typed out around an hour ago but never sent, oops)

Needless to say, you're not going to breed CBB in your tank for aiptasia control. That would be like trying to catch a fly with chopsticks.....only Mr. Miyagi can do that...and it still took him until the second movie to pull it off. There are much easier ways to control aiptasia.

i dont have an aiptasia problem nor do i have a big tank. I was just thinking it would be cool to breed them as I had 1 trained before

Yes it would, but it would be easier if you trained one to text than to breed in a smaller, home tank.

Honestly, if it was possible to breed CBBs in home aquariums I would be doing it already. They’re shush a nice fish and it’d be great to raise ones already eating in captivity, and to have them for longer periods of time

YouTube Visiting ORA, for a Start. Then you’ll get recommendations on similar YouTube Videos. They are Talking 2,000 and up Gallon Vats, on one of the Videos, I saw on YouTube. They used Natural Sea Water that was filtered and UV Treated, on a Video shot on a South Pacific Island. BTW Check out the Surge Device on ORA Coral Farm. I made something similar using two Half Moon Containers, I bought from the Container Store. They were mounted to the side of my overhead cabinet. My Wife made me take it down, the noise bothered her.
