My first question is can this be profitable? My second question is how long would it take to breed out your own line (that’s new)? Thanks :)

It could be profitable in the long run, but it’s important to have buyers. Unless you have a sizeable operation, it’s hard to to profit off online orders alone. Ask your LFS if they’ll make purchases off you!
As to breeding a new line of clownfish, I have no clue. If it was easy, tons of people would do it...( there aren’t many who do)

if by "new line" you mean different colors/patterns - it takes multiple generations of selective breeding so probably need to think in terms of years. could definitely be profitable - designer clowns sell for a lot of money.

It is profitable once you start getting good numbers out of your attempts, female Clownfish usually can lay eggs at 2+ years or 6cms length or more if the are not in excellent shape. Male are sexually mature about 6+ months old.
