anyone ever breed rock flower anemones? could you share any advise on how to get them going? currently have a garden of about 30 of them and would like to breed them. will share photos later.

I can't take the credit for my breeding experience because i wasn't trying lol. I had 5 of them on a rock and one day i noticed two little babies. Hopefully someone else can give you some tips more helpful than mine!

Not much you can do to encourage spawning or babies. I've caught my males spawning once. Seems several will spawn at once so something must trigger them. Mine and others have reported it usually happen about the time lights are going out, before and after. As you said, it is suggested to target feed the babies as much as possible. I did have babies come with a shipped rfa. That was pretty cool. I carefully put those on a rock with no flow and now I can only see one. Seems to be doing ok without direct feeding. I have not found babies other than those that came in the bag.

Look over the RFA thread linked in my signature below. I think there are a few of us who have been lucky enough to have babies and a few even caught the spawn on video and posted links (in my thread). If you have any questions about the info there, ask the question there and I'll reply there.

I don't have any secrets to it, I've just been lucky to have three rounds of babies. I think they need to be fully mature, mine are 3" or more in diameter and I do feed them every couple of weeks besides whatever fish and coral food they get from regular feedings of every other day.

I have about 20 or so RFAs. Have seen a male spawn once. Ive had 4 babies mature but not sure what triggers them to breed.

When you say they multiply, are they dividing like RBTAs or are yours big disks (like 2.5" or more) and the new ones are very little babies (like small as the eraser on a pencil)?
