What is the best fish to breed. Tank size and info on best breeding? I was thinking about possibly helping my LFS and breeding fish for them. Any suggestions on where to start?

Seen occasionally in the hobby but are livebearing. Very timid, may never see them. Personally i have no idea to tell the difference between male and female. Because you will need one of each.

Clowns and cardinals are the best fish to cut your teeth on marine breeding, after that dottybacks. Most marine fish have pelagic larvae which require specialized foods. Getting into marine breeding is really getting into first feeds culturing. Mastering culturing phytoplankton, copepods and rotifers, is essential. I would highly recommend the Marine Breeding Initiative, http://mbisite.org/ tons of great resources there, there is also an awesome facebook group Marine Breeding USA which some of the best breeders from around the world are a part of.

You may also want to consider checking out Matt Wittenrich's book: "The Complete Illustrated Guide to Marine Aquarium Fishes: Mating, Spawning, and Rearing Methods for Over 90 Species". Good luck with whatever you decide!
