Bretts SPS Deskmate build

Update: Finally got over a 2 month Dino stretch. I was cleaning corals and sand daily. Starting dosing more pods and adjusted lights. Nothing was working as fast as I hoped.... then I bought a cheap 3W uv bulb and placed it in the sump. Dino went away within a week.

Besides 1 acro turning grey and ironically a basic Kenya tree that never opens..... All is doing well.

Todays test:
Salinity 1.026
Cal 450
Alk 10
Ph 8.2
Nitrate: 10
Phos: .04

Looking so good bro!

It's been a while....

Some updates from last post. I managed to put the Dinos (most of it) to rest with the 3W UV light. Now im battling what I think is a minor Cyno problem. It's not free flowing and clings to rocks and sand. I will try to dose more copepods in hopes that will help eliminate. I also noticed that my Po4 and No3 happened to bottom out. Another cause for the outbreak.

I stated to dose more B-ionic nitrate, feed more and and introduce reef-roids. You'll notice the coloration in colors isn't where they should be. Hoping by upping the nutrients.... it will help bring them up in color.

Growth has been slow on some, fast on other. But it will soon be time to upgrade. Love this tank... but it's hard going to the LFS and only getting RODI because you can't fit anymore frags.

Good luck. I'm not using mine as you have to pull everything out the middle chamber and slide it under the sock area. When it needs cleaning you'll have to once again remove eveything from the middle chamber and pull it out.
I think that's the only major flaw in the design of these systems. If it were attached with silicone I would just cut it out, but I don't know if I want to try to cut the acrylic.
