Brief ammonia spike?

My tank's been up and running for over two months.. it did complete its cycle phase.

Did some testing almost daily as I've been slowly adding livestock, ammonia, nitrate and nitrite was all at 0.

Yesterday i had small bit of ammonia which I found odd. Nothing dead or changed in the tank. I did a small water change and this morning it's back at 0.

Its it common to get a brief ammonia reading here and there?

I am using API test.. eventually I will get better testing. for now, I have API. I'm wondering if it could've been a misreading?

If it has declined, I'd ignore it. It might be real or test error, but it is not "normal" to have that much in a stabilized reef.
