Can someone help me ID this bright green growth on my live rock. My tank is about 4 mths old with 29 lbs live rock and 10 lbs of live sand. I have the standard cuc and one clownfish in the tank. I use purigen with chemipure elite. I do not dose or supplement anything else. I use reef crystals for my sw mix. My parameters are ph 8.0, alk 11 dkh, calcium is 440 ppm, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, 0 nitrates, and 0 phos. This stuff showed up a month after my diatom bloom after cycling tank. It covers the rock but does not look like a hair algae. I can not scrub it off and is not slimey to touch. I have read some articles stating this is the beginning of coralline algae. Is this true? If it is will the color change or stay green. The live rock I seeded the tank with has red and purple coralline on it. Also my snails, hermit crabs, and emerald crab do not seem to be interested in it. Thanks for any info. Here is the best pic I have of it right now will try to post a better one tonight.
