Hello all,

Just noticed this on a piece of love rock I've had for a few months. This particular piece sits in my refugium. I haven't studied it closer, but I can. I'd figure I'd throw a picture out in case it was an easy spot for some of you professionals.

Oh my those limpets. Where did you get your live rock?
Vendor or hobbyists should get a call out for actually having life on it lol.
LOL I went to my local LFS (Nemo's Reef in Charlotte, NC)and wasn't even there to get LR. But I walked past the bin and this little guy was so purple and I could see little (read: microscopic) feathers on it and tons of coraline - I picked it up and tossed in my refugium. It's funny you should say that about it - because it is my smallest rock but my most active and best one to watch.

Thank you all for your responses. If it is a majano - I see lots of people getting rid of it... Should I let it be?

They reproduce rather quickly, so can overrun a tank if given the chance.

They are attractive unlike aiptasia so some keep them in separate systems with other hitchhikers.

Majanos are bad news. If that's what it is then get it out quick!

Some people love majanos while others are haunted by them.
Kalkwasser powder mixed into a runny paste and injected in them via syringe will get rid of them
