Bright, yellow zoas...(pic)

How do you like these bright, clear, yellow zoas I picked up locally..not a color you see very often...I love them. Individual polyps are between 1/4" and 1/2".

I never figured out what they need to keep that bright yellow color, we used to get those in all the time

I can keep their color really well right under 250 watt 14k MH lights, about 8~10 inches from the bulb.... well, that is if they're the same as mine... mine are from Florida looks exactly like it, and also small...
I've had them for over 6 months, still the same yellow, but the problem is not keeping the colors, but keeping them alive... some polyps have remained closed....

As far as turning green, there's another type of paly: Mellow Yellow or HRRC

they look like that too as young polyps (bright yellow) and when they become bigger, they become green.... not sure if this is what you guys have...

but as far as the neon yellow palys, they remain neon yellow for me. they're not the same as the Mellow Yellows... different ocean different palys...

then they turned green...

I have already told those eager for a frag to let me hold on to them for a while and see how they do...I'd hate to do a trade with someone and find they are changing colors and someone thinks they got ripped off. I don't mind taking a chance but I want to be up front with anyone who wants to trade for a frag. It's only fair.
