I wanted to here you guys imput on this salt. Been reading some good and not so good things about it. I have a 150gallon bucket here and was thinking about using it on a new reef of mine and as a primary salt for my living room reef.

A lot of the reviews and feed back I read was 2009 and 2010 material. A lot of it was about their claims with their parameters.

This statement concerns me a little "Conservative minor and trace elements are not depleted in marine environments, indicating that they are not utilized by marine life or do not take part in chemical reactions in seawater; as such, they are not necessary for the survival of aquarium inhabitants, and are not part of the NeoMarine formulation."

I used it for about 6 months when I first had my tank set up. I did not have any issues with the salt besides the fact that I could not get it very easily around me. Mixed very easily and the tank looked good. I switched to aquavitro salinity because it was easier for me to get and haven't looked back.

I have been using this salt for a long term, never had any issues with it. In my opinion, it's a great product!

i use neo marine no complaints have not had to dose mag one time. Mixes well and comes out to the salinity they say it will if mixed appropriately. Be careful breathing it in though and it can also give you a mean chemical burn if you have your hands any where near it when the water hits the dry salt mix it has a aggressive reaction to water. good luck and IMO is worth very penny.

Yes sir! Right now I have a few zoas and ricordeas, I had a few chalices and acans. Currently the tank is 90-95% SPS (Montiporas, Acroporas, Seriatoporas ,and Porites). Most, if not all of the products I use are from Brightwell Aquatics.

Old video, but you get the idea.....

I am on my third bucket. fine salt. no complaints. I also have not dosed any magnesium since I started using it, mag always around 1300 +/-.

I'm just finishing up my 2nd bucket of NeoMarine... it worked well but seemed to produce alot more heat, with first mixed with water than, than ReefCrystals. It mixes clean and i always love having an extra bucket, but I've switched back to ReefCrystals. The times where my tank looked the best was with RC.

"The times where my tank looked the best was with RC." Do you believe this had to do with the salt or other variables?

Andy, what's up bud? Are they selling this at AA? I know nothing about it but Brightwell's makes some good stuff overall.

Hey bro! Looking for a new salt. They do make great products. Therefor I have been looking to use there salt in the new reef. Read some reviews on it..some were great and some made me think. They were older reviews though 2009 and 2010 reviews. I want to here the long term effects with it. Was using D-D as you know but trying to cut expenses but not quality. AA does get D-D in but really no cut on the price.

Gotcha. Will give you a ring this weekend and we'll catch up. I need to get the scoop on the new reef!
