For full disclosure this is what my paramaters look like. I think tank is too "clean" for my zoas. I want to start dosing coralaminos. What would be the proper dosage and how often for a 25 lagoon with 12 small frags of LPS and softies?

There isn't a "too clean" option in our hobby. Stable the better is my motto :) What's eating up the nitrates in your tank? How many fish do you have in your tank and type? What type of behavior are your zoas exhibiting?

For amino I dose about 3ml (about 15 drops) of amino into our 30g nano, the suggested dosage for broadcast feeding per 50g is no more than 5ml a day for brightwell. I might also suggest getting some RS A/B+ I've gotten great results from dosing my tank with it (it also has amino).

Your better off just dosing nitrates.

I am in the camp of dosing whats needed, not dosing something in hopes it will bring a certain parameter up(IE if you need nitrates, dose nitrates. If you need phosphates, dose phosphates, etc). In other words, you wouldn't dose equal parts of a 2 part solution if only your ALK was low, you would just dose ALK.

And too clean, is a thing, and your tank is too clean. You need some measurable nitrates and phosphates, specially for softies(your zoas).

The only fish I have are a pair of small clowns so my bio load is light. I run an eshopps nano skimmer and a fuge basket with chaeto in it. Zoas are closed up and not happy.

I wouldn't be dosing the coralaminos just to raise nitrates. I have a few corals that have their feeders out a day or so after I feed them reef roids. Looking to keep them happy. I would rather not dose nitrates and phosphates as it's been a struggle in the past to keep them in line but if that's what need to be done I will.

Full disclosure I have not done this myself. But I have read that a lot people when having issues with their zoas will test for and dose iodine. Might be worth looking into.

Actually just started this as well. Using the seachem brand.

So after about 5 days of dosing the brightwell, along with the iodine, and turning off my skimmer for a few days, zoas seem to be opening up.
