Ok so I'm cycling a new tank. Been out of the hobby for a while but I've done it many times. I usually do a fish less cycle with dr Tims and his ammonia chloride. Well I followed the brightwell instructions to a t. I tested ammonia after a full dose on two kits and got zero. I then did another test and put actual drops of the ammonia in my test and still got zero. I smelled the bottle of ammonia and it had no scent. It's like a bottle of water. I'm already getting a refund from md. My question is will the bacteria I put in live with no ammonia to feed off of until I can get some that's good?
