Brightwell MB Clean w/ Razor questions

I've just started a MB Clean/Razor treatment to eliminate algaes and need to know if I should stop using the MB 7, Nopox and gfo I've been using. I cut off the carbon/gfo reactor already. I'm thinking the treatment could lower the nitrates and phos which would bottom them out if I keep up with Nopox and gfo.
It's a 100g tank using BRS two part and is around 2yrs old.

I personally have seen no reports about the effectiveness of this product, but I would not expect a lot of utility in combatting algae.

I don't see a reason to stop the other things you are doing. If nutrients get too low, then stopping the NOPOX and GFO is appropriate.

Thanks Randy. That's the problem, lots of people talking about this combo eliminating algae but no real documented proof. No BRS test of this method, that I know of. I'm also beefing up my cuc and have always kept my nutrients low. So...time will tell.

I would stop the MB7 if your going to use the Clean. Or just stay on the same path and just dose the Razor.

Razor is an algaecide and Clean is bacteria.............so I assume the bacteria is dosed to take up the slack of the Razor killing the algae. It's a combo recommended by Brightwell.

I don't know if Razor is any different than using Algaefix or other brands.

Either way, I would first try to just scrub that algae down and do a heavy beef up on your clean up crew. Then make sure you baste the rock to keep detritus out of there. That would be the natural way and how you fix the cause.

Def needs more cuc, half of which I already added and the other half is coming tomorrow. I think I will stop the MB7. Too many different solutions going in at once may have unpredictable results.
