Before I dump this into my dosing container, this is all of the sediments at the bottom of a 1 gallon mixing jug. I mixed 2 cups per one gallon last month and have been mixing every few days. (let me know if that is the wrong mixture). It is very hard, and I have broke it up many times and mixed it over the last month. Can I just keep just the liquid (because it could already be 100% ssturated), dump it all in, or remake the whole gallon? I'd hate to dump it down the drain and start over, but I want to exhaust other option and learn why this mix is different from previous ones.

I am very grateful for any recommendation you may have.

Thank you.

I get that with ReefCode A-P when I mix at double strength. I just made some ReefCode B-P this morning 64oz of RO, 240g of B-P. That's 8oz RO to 30g B-P.

Recommend using a scale to make sure I have the proper amounts of powder and water. Sorry the A-P is just cloudy but it's from me knocking the sediment off the bottom for the picture.

you absolutely can use it just decant it and try not to take as much of the sediment as possible. You will waste a little but you can use all of the clear liquid that you can take.

Great info! The mixing directions are very confusing. Just to make sure, what about of B-P goes into 1 gallon of RO water? I used 2 cups....

1 Gallon (US) is 128 Fl Oz (US). so 128/8=16. 16 * 30 = 480 grams of reef code b-p per gallon. Not sure what this works out to as cups; you can probably find a dirt cheap kitchen scale at Walmart just make sure it reads grams.

Many alkalinity supplements are close to saturation, and some push the limits. I'd warm it to get it to dissolve, or dilute it more.

I know this is an older thread but this might help someone else I had the exact same thing happen to me just last night. The Code B-P container is 2.2 lbs 480 grams is 1.058 lbs so half a container is just slightly more than 480 grams mixed all 1.058 lbs at one time and the same thing happened turned into a rock in the bottom of the jug after an hr of shaking was finally down to about half a cup full of rocks the rest had mixed I took josephxsxn's advice of decanting it and and then Randy's advice of warming it put the rocks in a glass measuring cup with about 50% water and nuked for 30 seconds then mashed it all up until the rocks were completly broken and mixed (didn't take much) poured back into jug mixed for a bit and 100% dissolved I believe the way this should be mixed is a little at a time slowly, add a little shake until mixed add a little more shake until mixed and so on until it is all mixed gonna try that method next time.
