Brightwells n03 plate vs bio plate?

I have both, I'm running the n03 plate in my 60. I purchased the bio plate for my new build and to me they look identical. I had to cut my first plate down to fit so I'm going to use the extra piece in my new tank as well. Anyone know the difference? And I didn't crack the new one, either ups or brs did. No worries, more surface area. Lol

In my eyes the are the same thing. Gonna seed both with a bacteria of your choice and ideally should do the same. I’m sure the N03 have more surface area than the Bio plate but all in all would be the same thing.

The NO3 plate needs to be in a low flow location so anaerobic bacteria can build up. The BIO plate needs a higher flow rate so aerobic bacteria will flourish. If the water flows too fast where the NO3 is located then it will act like the BIO plate does.

That makes sense, couldn't figure that one out for the life of me
