So I was interested in buying some of their products on their website brineshrimpdirect. But after reading some threads here and there, it seems like they don't response to emails. And their shipping is sometimes described as atrocious when it comes to actually fulfilling them. There was a thread here earlier this year that said he had to cancel the order through a chargeback with the bank due to their non-responsiveness.

See here: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/has-anyone-ordered-from-brine-shrimp-direct-recently.885267/

Is this still the case? Has anyone here bought from them recently?

Haven't you kind of answered your own question...?
I was hoping they were just one-off experiences. Not everyone posts something when they get a successful order, but people do tend to post if they've had a bad experience.

But I guess from the lack of activity in this thread, it does seem like they're dead.

This seems to be a timely question. The linked thread in the OP was mine.
I'm ready to place another order and I wanted to try the shell-free (live) ones, but the only place I see them is on their website. I'm trying to decide if I want to attempt ordering from them again.

What's interesting is that in the previous thread I mentioned their facebook page hasn't been updated in a while. Now, their facebook page is gone. My WAG is that it was getting bad reviews so they took it down, but that's just a guess.

I wish local fish stores sold anything other than those brown vials of eggs. After being spoiled by the premium eggs from BSD, those cheap ones at the LFS aren't worth it. I picked some up a few weeks ago and tossed it after a few batches.

Just get an air pump and some 2 liter coke bottles and hatch your own. I run 3 staggered 12 hours apart so I have a continuous supply of nauplii for my anthias in QT. I blacked about the bottles except at the bottom by the cap. Turn off air and lay a flashlight at the bottom wait 10 minutes and suck them out. All the shell casing float so all I get is fresh baby brine in the syringe. Super easy and cheap
