hello - have this (2) ... yes they keep hatching so you need at least two ... RECOMMEND

they do have thin plastic so when filled with water isn't the most stable feeling so I have a plywood scrap they sit on so I can easily carry to/from kitchen & fish room

I have an incandescent bulb and tacky hardware store shop light for heat & light. It sits on top of box with hole cutout on top (bottom) of box for light and bottom (top) of box is open so I can easily slide in/out for hatching duty and/or cleanings

Do you just keep putting them in or do you take a break? You can barely see them, I don’t need an overpopulation if that’s even possible

no, don't keep adding eggs... you'll need to clean it out, then start with clean water and go forward... you don't want that water to go bad as impacts the baby brine shrimp which would then impact who is eating baby brine shrimp... keep things clean. Clean = healthy

Add eggs, hatchings start 24 thr 36+ hours (keep pulling out babies)... once no more babies, clean it out and then start with clean new water and new eggs ... then in 24-36 hours more new babies... repeat, repeat...

  1. Fill to the line with saltwater mixed to the salinity level stated in the directions and add brine shrimp eggs per instructions
  2. Keep in sunlit place or directly under a light bulb.
  3. After ~12-24 hours, lift out screened scoop from center to remove hatched brine shrimp and feed them to your tank and replace the screened scoop into the hatchery bowl
  4. Once or twice a day for the next 2-4 days, continue to remove hatched shrimp with screened scoop (as per step 2)
  5. By day 4-5 most of the eggs will have hatched ... so clean out the hatchery bowl, refill with saltwater and fresh eggs ... then repeat 1-4
As for adding them to your DT — add them EVERY day. WHen you add them, too few will survive getting eaten to populate on their own in the display tank.

Thanks for the added details... its also why I have two so one or the other hatchery is actually actively hatching while the other can be incubating (otherwise can only feed ever other or every 3rd day, depending on temperature). Best to feed when newly hatched before baby brine shrimp uses up its egg sack energy.
