My nitrate is currently 4 ppm. Would like to bring this to 0.5. po4 is 0.02. I do not have a lot of fish and feed 1 block of fresh mysis every day, which I certainly do not like much I now use 400ml instead of 200ml zeomix for the last 2 weeks. And 2 weekly I replace phosphate minus with 150 grams. Also use life bio fill (250ml) Every day I add 4 drops of pro bio s and np pro. How can I best reduce the no3 content?

If you aren’t having problems I’d leave it alone. Also what test kit are you using

Do you have acros or algae issue? Why do you want to bring it down? It looks like you are maintaining a good regime.
I have always turned to 0.5 to 1 nitrate, more ulns. the colors were a bit lighter then, which I personally find more beautiful. Now I have to clean the windows every day instead of every 2 to 3 days and also have more algae on the stones. That's why I want it down. It is also my personal preference to have the nitrate a little lower

Ok, in that case increase the amount of zeo stones and increase the Probio S and NP Pro dosing 2-4 drops more. It will take a month or a bit more but it will come down.

Ok, but that also reduces your phosphate and that is low. You need phosphate to lower nitrate. So will this work?

The zeolite stones will take up the ammonia so more amount of it will suck up the ammonia and will not let it get converted into NO3. Hence it will decrease the NO3 without changing the PO4.

Over the coming weeks if it continues to rise then look into your nutrient export. Otherwise leave it since more than likely it will go down on its own. Note the trend and dial in your feeding and nutrient export based on your test but never chase low numbers
