Bringing back bleached magnificas

Just picked up a pair of neon green magnifica anemones that are completely bleached they are heathy for the most part no tears or cagping mouth and they completely lock up when touched so I'm hoping if fed everyday they will regain their color and zoos here's a pick when I first put them in it's been about an hour since

I don't know if tatlor t / snorvich / dnack or orion n are on this sight they are the most hope full.
I have better luck with bleached anemones than just shipped in and trying to treat for infection.

Yeah I agree I've never done bleached magnificas thought I'd try it!

They look good, except for the bleaching. Small meals and time should have these regaining color.

Yeah I'm feeding them everyday they get brine shrimp one day and ghost shrimp the next

I was told that brine shrimp don't have much nutritional value, Mysis would be much better. I have no research to back that, but was told that by a reefer I respect. May want to look into another options.

I agree in the brine. Can't remember my resource. But they were related to a "potato chip" for fish.

Yeah I hear you I've herd the same they are not taking to the mysis shrimp so I'm going to try some squid next trip to the fish store and I'm gunna pick some up here's a pic of one now he seems to be adjusting to the new tank

Nice is that a kessil 160? I have a mag under a kessil a350. How long have you had it under that light?

Base is white too' we're gunna have to wait this one out to see what Color it will be the other bleached nem has a brown base so maybe each will be a different color

It's under a a150. I've had him in that same spot almost two years. He's about 14in open. I've slowed his feeding to once a week, cuz how big he's getting.

Ive also seen people feed a bleached nem a tencle of a healthy one of the same species to jump start the zooxathelle.

Yeah I read that on OrionN's thread on reef central if I don't see any improvement in a week or so I might start trying that I have plenty of magnifica anemones lol

I think you will see color pretty quickly with consistent feeding.

Wow awesome nice gig! I'm noticing some brown in the tentacles on one of the bleached nems one just came out of treatment and hasn't eaten since before treatment (4 days ) I wasn't sure if he had an infection but just to make sure i did a short treatment here's a pic of the bleached that has some zooxanthellae and the bleached with none in tentacles but had the brown base and the non bleached magnifica that was in the same tank with these guys at the fish store and just got out of qt after he was treated with cipro for a week

hard to see the faint brown in some tentacles in the picture this one has a white base at the moment
