Bringing color to a budget reefer.

Over the last couple years, I have moved from a 30gal to a 50 gallon to a 67 gallon and now my last tank for my lifetime, a 125 gallon. I have been able to step up by doing some trading. And am finally happy with the size. But in doing that, I haven't been spending much money on Coral. Because I just haven't had it. I do have a great RBTA that is about a foot wide when he is sunning himself. A colony of Zoa in the corner and some button polyps.

But I really want some color. I am running LEDs and want some pop in my tank.

What would be some nice and not pricey coral that would give my tank some pop? Now that I have the tank I have wanted for many years. It has been running for months. So now it is time to make it sexy. :wink:

Its all personal preference really. Lots of beautifully colored corals can be had at a good price. Just shop around and you'll find what you're looking for

Green slimer would be a very cheap, hardy and nice sps to start

Eagle eye zoas are colorful, hardy, and grow like crazy. I have tons of zoa frags but I have a nice little colony of eagle eyes and fruit loop
Zoas and they look awesome to me. I have nicer ones but they all take quite a while to grow. There are some that are a great bang for the buck color wise. Blondies grow really well too and are bright and colorful.

Blonde, blue eyes $@#%?! Zoas. They have red skirts, an orange disk, and a blue center. When I get my camera back, I will take pics

Inexpensive and easy could be red or green monticap. You could also go with some red mushrooms.

I would do mushrooms. There are some nice greens, blue, orange, yellow and red mushrooms that can be found and they grow quickly. I have two pink ricordea that I love.
