Briopsis and gha treating with Fluconazole

Please help i need to treat my 500 gallon system . I only have briopsis in one of yhe tanks on this system. Anything i need to know.

Does this work with gha to?

How long should i leave treatment in before i water change

Do i need to remove carbon and shut skimmer and uv off?

It works with bryopsis and certain strands of green hair algae. The instructions tell you to remove carbon and all chemical filtration. Usually you can continue GFO and skimming after so many hours but read the directions to make sure. You should wait around 2 weeks for it to work. The instructions will let you know their recommended time.

I used flux rx for hair algae and it worked. However be careful if you have caulerpa as I believe it can be harmful to certain species of it. https://bluelifeusa.com/flux-rx/

thank you for the info so far so good. i am starting to see results now. about 9 days into it! keeping a close eye on my phosphate tho. i have 10 tangs i have been feeding sparingly

I've used it and it gets rid of both. Gha takes longer. But I have noticed that it will come back. The gha not briopsis.

Fluco worked for me. For me, it took 2 weeks to kill all the bryopsis and the third week to see immense progress on gha. Keep it in the tank for as long as possible. You need it to keep killing all the way deep into the rocks to get the roots or else it’ll come back once it’s removed.
