I am going to say it is Aiptasia... But I am New... So don't listen to anything I type.. We can just wait for someone to come along and correct me... Thanks for letting me Play...

Looks like serpent star. Pic a little fuzzy

Maybe I’m looking at the wrong thing but it kinda looks like Dino or Cyanobacteria. Especially considering you said a lot appeared out of no where
Is that what i see on phone screen? It looks the presence also of dino. If you can break it up with gentle blast from a turkey baster, likely dinoflagellates

Do the tenticals wave with the motion of the water but then stop and move on their own?

It's a spaghetti worm, your seeing tentacles coming out of the sand bed. They are an excellent member of the clean up crew. There is no dino or cyano either
I looked it up and you are 100% correct. Spaghetti worm. Thank you all for the help!
Please close thread

I had a spaghetti worm on my new zoa frag the other day. Even tried to kill it off before realizing what it was lol didn’t kill it but it looks pretty cool :)
